Recently expanding into Lara Victoria, the team at Lara Real Estate have shared their favourite aspects throughout the local area.
Rods Bakery
A locally owned business, Rods Bakery has been established in Lara for the past 16 years. They sell freshly made bread, sweets such as slices and cake, as well as lunch options like pies, sandwiches, and quiches! It is a must for locals as well as those passing through town.
You Yang’s
Just outside of Lara lie the You Yang’s. They are part of the Aboriginal cultural landscape with a deep connection to the traditional people of the land, the Wadawurrung people.
A popular tourist attraction, it also welcomes locals lucky enough to live close by. With mountain bike trails, picnic areas and walking tracks it is a great option to get the family out of the house!
Local Playgrounds
Austin’s Park is located right next to the town centre. It consists of BBQ’s, a playground, drinking fountain, free parking, public toilets and loads of grass for the kids to run around.
Grand Lakes Estate Playground is designed with two layouts. One playground for toddlers and one for older kids. Plus, Millars Café is located nearby meaning parents can grab a coffee while watching the kids play.
Kevin Hoffman Walk
This well-maintained walking track is situated centrally to Lara. It homes multiple species of native plants and flowers, along with wetlands in which you can often see ducks and birds nearby. While the walk may not be long it is worthwhile and recommended by many.
